The sons of a poor farmer, Kishan and Raja, worked tirelessly from a young age. They helped their father without being afraid of hard work. The young men were engaged in agriculture most of the time, so they could not fully devote themselves to their studies. Their school grades left much to be desired. One day, the grown-up brothers fell in love with the daughter of a wealthy landowner, whom several rich young people want to marry at once. The beautiful young lady was in no hurry to choose her fiance, preferring to remain free. She was completely sure that she would get married solely for love, so she was waiting for a man with whom she could build a strong family. Naturally, given the existing class prejudices that have developed long ago in Indian society, none of the relatives are destined to lead a beautiful woman down the aisle. The parents of a pretty girl forbade her to meet with poor people who are not able to ensure a happy future for their daughter.
